Hollyburn Heritage Society
The Hollyburn Heritage Society is a non-profit group dedicated to the collecting, cataloging and sharing the incredible history of our North Shore Mountains, most notably, Hollyburn Mountain. Members have gathered and composed a multimedia collection of stories on mountain pioneers, their lives, recreation, competition and cabin retreats. From the early days of exploring, hiking and recreation, competitive ski-jumping and ski racing (both cross country and downhill). They have documented much of the history thru old restored movie film, historic photos, artifacts and recorded story telling.
The Society’s biggest goal is working to preserve and restore Hollyburn Ski Lodge for future generations to enjoy. Old photos, artifacts and stories are on display at the Lodge offering a nostalgic look back to the beginnings of today’s busy ski area. Cypress Mountain whole heartedly supports the Society's enthusiasm and efforts. Visit their website for lots of cool glimpses back to an earlier time to see why so many people have and will continue to fall in love with Hollyburn.
