Mountain Update - September 7, 2010
We are only a few weeks away from completing the major restoration of the Olympic Venue slopes at Cypress Mountain. Re-grading and clean-up of Panorama, Cascade, Lower Fork and Hutch is complete and night lighting is currently being installed. Family skiing and riding at Cypress will not be matched anywhere with all of the improvements that have been completed over the past three years. The Olympic Overlay has impacted visitors from fully visualizing the spectacular opportunities which will now be available all season – you definitely can’t miss trying out Cypress Mountain this winter!
Our Big New Cypress Creek Lodge seats over 1,200 people and provides the most convenient on-mountain services of a ski resort anywhere. The Crazy Raven Bar & Grill is a spectacular new pub that has a large capacity to serve hungry and thirsty skiers and riders. Lions Express High Speed Quad can whisk you up Mt. Strachan in a fraction of the time of the former lift and the Raven Ridge Terrain Area provides unequaled challenging terrain for powder hounds and mogul experts. The Olympic Slalom and Mogul courses will be open to the public so that you can track the paths which led Alexandre Bilodeau and Jasey Jay Anderson to their Gold Medals at the Olympic Games!
We are also very excited to unveil our new logo which has been developed to tell a story about our past and demonstrate confidence in our ability to provide world class recreation opportunities to our visitors in the future – you won’t want to miss out on wearing something from our new line of logo wear!
The La Nina weather system which has been developing in the Pacific Ocean normally initiates the best in ski and snowboarding conditions on the North Shore so we are looking forward to a great snow season.
We at Cypress Mountain are inspired by the Olympic successes of the Canadian athletes on our Mountain and we will strive to provide the best experience possible to everyone who visits our resort – we provide a Big Mountain experience and the best in new facilities – bring on the snow!!
