Snowshoeing can be a lot of fun and great exercise if done with proper technique and in a safe area.  Cypress Mountain has a large network of marked and maintained self-guiding Snowshoe trails within our Nordic Area Boundary.  The trail network provides access to Historic 1926 Hollyburn Lodge (the original ski Camp building) for a delicious lunch, hot drink or a variety of traditional “nordic” specialties. We can provide equipment rentals, guided treks to our Upper Warming Hut, or go all the way with our famous guided Chocolate or Cheese Fondues Tours – make your plans to visit Vancouver’s biggest safe in-bounds Snowshoe Trail network.

Self Guided Snowshoe Trails

You will experience a true winter wonderland as you wander through snowy mountain forests and subalpine meadows on Cypress Mountains 10km of self guided snowshoe trails which are open daily till dusk. This family friendly activity is a great way to get out and explore Vancouver's amazing back yard. Please be aware that we do not permit children to be pulled in sleds on our snowshoe trails however they are permitted in backpacks.

Hollyburn Meadows Tour ($38)

This 2 hour tour offers a great introduction to snowshoeing. You will trek through snowy mountain forests and meadows before visiting the historic Hollyburn Lodge for a delicious treat and a hot drink.

• Saturday & Sunday at 1pm & 4pm
• Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 7pm
• Custom dates and times for groups of 8 or more

 

 

 

Chocolate Fondue Tour ($50)

On this truly magical winter experience you will snowshoe by headlamp through the towering forests and glades of Hollyburn Mountain on your way to the rustic Hollyburn Lodge. First we'll warm you up with a mug of steaming hot apple cider before you enjoy a chocolate fondue.

• Fridays & Sundays: 6:30pm - 9:30pm
• Saturdays: 6:30pm - 9:30pm (advanced tour to upper warming hut)
• Monday to Thursday dates available for groups of 8 or more

Chocolate Fondue Menu

• Chocolate fondue with fresh fruit and angel food cake
• Hot apple cider, coffee, tea or hot chocolate
• Additional food and alcohol are available for purchase during all but the advanced Saturday night tours.

 

 

 

Cheese & Chocolate Dinner Fondue Tour ($80)

This special tour combines spectacular terrain and great food in one adventure. You will trek by headlamp through a winter wonderland before arriving at the historic Hollyburn Lodge for a delicious cheese and chocolate dinner fondue. A truly unique winter experience that is especially popular with groups!

• Friday & Sunday (6pm-10pm)
• Monday to Thursday - available for groups of 8 or more

Cheese & Chocolate Fondue Menu

• Green salad
• Cheese fondue with homemade bread, steamed veggies and roast garlic potatoes
• Chocolate fondue with fresh fruit and angel food cake
• Hot apple cider, coffee, tea or hot chocolate. (Alcohol is available at an additional cost)

 

 

 

Music Night Snowshoe Tours ($50)

This brand new tour will take you snowshoeing through a snowy mountain forest on the way to the rustic Hollyburn Lodge where you will enjoy delicious appetizers and live music. Additional food and alcohol is available for purchase.

• 6:00pm to 9:30pm
