Dr. Jen's Ski Report

Happy New Year! First visit since the turn of the calendar. Bye bye 2020. Hello 2021.

It is obvious how much everyone needs to get outside and get some exercise. On a Wednesday post vacation time, there were a lot of people here today. So great to see everyone taking advantage of one of the few activities that we are allowed during this phase of the pandemic.

Hats off to Cypress and all of their hard working employees. They are doing a fabulous job of keeping everyone safe. Masks are mandatory everywhere the minute you step out of your car.

My first encounter today was with Ambrea who had the huge job of directing everyone to the proper parking areas. They are checking in every vehicle, so be patient as you wait.

Wow, has there been a lot of snow since I was here a week and a half ago. The base must have grown well over a metre since then. Fantastic!!

The whole mountain was well covered and well groomed, which made for easy turns. The sun even popped out mid day. So good. My favorite run today? Humpty Dumpty down Horizon. Beauty.

It was fun to watch the riders enjoying themselves. I especially liked a group of fellas who were totally Canadian - - skiing AND supporting hockey.

Cheers to Jack in the repair shop, running things on his own. Great deal for ski waxing to be had up here.

Back at the Crazy Raven, Danielle and PA are making our après ski most enjoyable. Yummy food up here too. Great day all round.
