The next best thing to a powder day? A bluebird day, of course.
Happy 30th birthday today to my good friend and fellow Cypress skier, Jess.
We played on Sky Chair most of the day today. No lift waits, stellar views, bright sunshine and lovely snow.
What more can one ask for? Lifty music!! Aidan was loading and blessing us with some Motown mixed with soft jazz. At the top Kylie had the 70s dance mix going. Great fun on a great day.
Après ski in the Crazy Raven we were served by the lovely Kait, who is happy to be working for Cypress since the airline she was working for doesn't really need her services right now. While there, my husband ran into some lifelong friends that he hadn't seen in a while. They too were enjoying a fresh air, exercise break from their day-to-day lives. It is great how we can still ski and actually see people we know in these covid times. It really does help to get a break. I know I need it, and how much it helps with my mental health.
