Dr. Jen's Ski Report - 2/28/18
After two months away in the sun, it sure was great to get back on the mountain today. I know that sounds weird or even spoiled, but being away during ski season was not my first choice.
From a mental health perspective, nothing beats some fresh mountain air and exercise on a crisp winter day. It sure helped my "back to reality" blues that I have had since my return. I was glad it warmed up a couple of degrees for skiing today. Riding was very pleasant, very little wind, and great visibility. One of the benefits of the cold weather that has been happening is the fluffy, dry snow. No humidity, no ice at all. Lovely. With the exception of Sky Chair, we pretty much covered the whole mountain today. I even got to ski Benny's on Ravens Ridge, which I don't think was open yet when I skied back in December. Great conditions and even better views. So blessed to ride AND see the ocean and the city at the same time. Pretty unique experience.
No pick of the day today because there wasn't a bad run in the house! Thanks Cypress. Great being back.
