Classic Skiing

The classic skiing lesson focusses on skill development and proper technique while building the student’s control and confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Single and multi-session lessons are available. Classes are available Monday through Thursday in two-hour lesson blocks. Maximum of 80 students per session with group sizes of up to 10.

Skate Skiing
Grades 7 to 12

Skate ski lessons are best for groups with prior nordic skiing experience and is most suitable for youth 13 years of age and over. Skate skiing is a great option for school athletic clubs, sports teams looking for cross training options and other outdoor recreation groups. Classes are available Monday through Friday in two-hour lesson blocks. Maximum of 80 students per session with group sizes of up to 10.

Snowshoe
Grades K to 12

Snowshoeing is a fun and energizing way to safely experience the winter outdoors. Participants will learn basics such as the 10 essentials and learn through participation in wilderness games and activities. Please notify us in advance if there are any curriculum requests. Maximum of 80 students per session with group sizes up to 20.

- Groups are advised to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to lesson start time.
- Larger groups will require more time to process.
- There may be some latitude to adjust lesson start and end times, but lesson blocks cannot overlap.
- Nordic school/youth group pricing includes the lesson, ticket and rentals for the day.
- All lessons will be conducted by trained instructors and guides.

Welcome to Cypress Nordic Area, set in picturesque Hollyburn Mountain. Our winter wonderland is yours to explore with students of all ages and abilities.
School group lessons, tours, and self-guided activities are available from Jan 3, 2023, to March 16, 2023.
- Guided lessons/tours can accommodate approximately 80 students or 2 - 3 classes each day.
- Once a booking is confirmed, we will send you Booking Policy details and a confirmation email
- Lesson/tour pricing applies to all students taking a lesson and includes ticket, rental, and instruction. Complimentary chaperone tickets/rentals are provided on a 1:10 ratio
- We do not charge for chaperones who have season passes and/or their own ski equipment.
- Lesson and tour programs will be staged at our Nordic Base Area.
- Belongings can be stored in the Cross-Country Rentals Space.
- Groups are welcome to use our Hollyburn Tent Area and order our $10 hot lunch option during their Nordic School Booking Hot Lunch Form

We offer 1 complimentary chaperone ticket for every 10 paid students. In order to qualify a chaperone must:
- be school staff, education assistance or parent volunteers
- be listed on the chaperone form included in your booking package
- attend the lesson or tour with their group and actively assist the mountain staff
- ensure students are acting appropriately at all times from arrival to departure, both on and off the snow
Additional adults accompanying the group can purchase trail tickets and rentals at discounted rates but are not permitted to join the lesson or tour.
