What made you stay for your 9th season?
The People! Cypress Mountain boasts hundreds of folks from around the world to work on the mountain, I have made lifelong friends who I keep In touch with and can visit anywhere around the globe. The free riding is a huge plus, especially for people who can’t put money towards their favourite winter sport. The perks, partnerships, and sponsorships with multiple companies around town is a great deal, especially since we are only 30mins away from a major city. Also the opportunity for growth within the company is great, within my 9 years I have been a frontline agent, team lead, senior supervisor, and assistant manager.

HANNAH | FRONTLINE TEAM LEAD | 2ND SEASON

What made you stay for a second season?
Cypress is a fun work environment and the job comes with lots of perks. I'm very lucky that I can finish a shift and within 15 minutes be skiing. As someone who had never skied before moving to Canada, Cypress has allowed me to understand more about the industry whilst also learning a new skill. Cypress is also so close to the city which means it's easy to come up and enjoy the mountain, even on days off.

What’s your favourite part of working here?
The people! Working amongst such a good crowd which are supportive makes coming to work much more enjoyable. You also get to meet people from all over the world. I've been able to explore Canada and go on trips with the people I've met through work.

What made me stay for a second season? I stayed for a second season to find challenge in a new role, and to continue enjoying the positive work environment.

What’s your favourite part of working here? My favorite thing about Cypress is being part of a friendly and supportive community. Where we not only work together to provide guests with a positive experience, but also spend time together to build positive relationships, and develop our own character.

Why do you love working at Cypress?
I like working at Cypress because I can snowboard and work in the same place, the people are awesome and the money is good!

Why do you love working at Cypress?
Cypress is the biggest and best resort closest to Vancouver.  Its the resort to come to for a day on the board and a beer with the mates downtown on the way home.  The staff has great camaraderie and everyone looks out for each other.

Why do you love working at Cypress?
Cypress is sick because the boarding looks epic and it is so close to the city so I can work, board and check out the city and surrounding BC while in Canada for the winter season.  I look forward to being part of the team.
